Vedic Cultural Society of B.C. had a sweet, humble beginning from the basement of a home. The strong inspiration of sewa to mankind and love for the Spiritual Divine brought this Society together in 1983. The Founder is Swami Chakradhari. Late Rajendra Prasad and Shiela Prasad helped Guruji to register the Society in Victoria, B.C. Co-founder Members are Late Chandar Sen, Late Prabhu Dholliwar, Savitri Narayan and Malti Singh. These four Founder Members are the pillars of the Ram Krishna Mandir/Vedic Center. The Society had undergone dramatic changes and restructured to improve the services in the community.
The first property was started at Odlin Street, Richmond, B.C. followed by new Ram Krishna Mandir and Cultural Centre on No. 5 Road in Richmond, B.C. There is no greater quality in a person that selfless love which expresses itself in service to others. Such love is the source of real bliss and this is what Vedic Centre, Ram Krishna Mandir is actively involved. Our volunteers, members, founder members and supporters deserve profound gratitude. It is only pious souls who can do such philanthropic work.
